Carbon dioxide is the molecule of life. Most of Earth's available CO2 resides in three reservoirs: land, shallow ocean, deep ocean. Only a small fraction is in the atmosphere. Any attempt by mankind to change the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere will be futile. The flow between the three other reservoirs completely controls the level of CO2 in the atmosphere. The photo above shows the results of an ice storm on Lake Geneva in Switzerland. The world is cold enough and will get colder. We must have plenty of energy from fossil fuels and nuclear power in order to survive. Wind and solar power will do nothing in colder times. The fate of CO2 is to be locked away in calcareous and carbonaceous rock. When enough CO2 is locked away, life will stop. Mankind's attempt at carbon sequestration is all political nonsense.
